SHIPPING POLICY
1. Delivery Areas
Rivergum Range delivers to most locations within Australia.
Delivery availability may depend on:
-
product size and weight;
-
delivery address;
-
freight carrier availability;
-
access restrictions;
-
regional or remote location limits;
-
product type;
-
order quantity.
Some large, bulky, fragile, custom, or commercial furniture items may require a custom freight quote before dispatch.
2. Delivery Costs
Delivery costs are calculated based on factors such as:
-
delivery location;
-
item size;
-
item weight;
-
order quantity;
-
packaging requirements;
-
freight carrier charges;
-
commercial or residential delivery access.
Delivery charges may be shown at checkout, quoted separately, or confirmed after order review.
If a freight cost shown online is incorrect due to product size, location, access issues, or carrier limitations, Rivergum Range may contact you to confirm the correct delivery cost before processing the order.
3. Bulky Furniture Deliveries
Many Rivergum Range products are bulky furniture items, including partitions, ottomans, bean bags, acoustic products, office chairs, soft seating, and custom-made products.
These items may require special handling, larger freight services, or commercial delivery arrangements.
Delivery may be made by courier, furniture carrier, freight company, or Rivergum Range’s own delivery team where available.
4. Dispatch Times
Dispatch times vary depending on whether the product is in stock, made to order, customised, upholstered, printed, or specially ordered.
Estimated dispatch times may vary due to:
-
stock availability;
-
fabric availability;
-
custom production;
-
upholstery work;
-
supplier timelines;
-
freight carrier schedules;
-
order size;
-
seasonal demand.
Any dispatch or delivery timeframe provided is an estimate only and is not guaranteed unless confirmed in writing.
5. Made-to-Order Products
Many Rivergum Range products are made to order or custom manufactured.
Made-to-order products may have longer lead times than standard stocked items.
Production may not begin until:
-
payment or deposit has been received;
-
order details have been confirmed;
-
fabric, colour, size, or artwork selections have been approved;
-
any custom requirements have been finalised.
Once production has started, shipping timeframes may vary depending on freight availability and delivery location.
6. Delivery Timeframes
Delivery timeframes vary depending on your location and the freight method used.
Metro deliveries are generally faster than regional or remote deliveries.
Delays may occur due to:
-
freight carrier delays;
-
public holidays;
-
weather events;
-
road closures;
-
high-volume freight periods;
-
supplier delays;
-
incorrect delivery details;
-
restricted site access;
-
circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Rivergum Range is not liable for delays caused by freight companies, suppliers, or events outside our control.
7. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
This includes:

-
postcode;
-

-
loading dock or access details, if applicable.
Rivergum Range is not responsible for delays, additional charges, or failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery information.
8. Site Access
Before placing an order, customers must ensure the delivery location is suitable for the product being delivered.
Please consider:
-
doorway widths;
-
lifts;
-
stairs;
-
hallways;
-
loading docks;
-
parking access;
-
site restrictions;
-
delivery hours;
-
security requirements;
-
whether assistance is needed to move bulky items.
Additional charges may apply for difficult access, redelivery, waiting time, stairs, special handling, or failed delivery attempts.
9. Authority to Leave
Where available, customers may request authority to leave goods unattended.
If you give authority to leave, the goods will be considered delivered once left at the nominated location.
Rivergum Range is not responsible for theft, loss, weather damage, or other damage that occurs after goods have been delivered under authority to leave.
For bulky or high-value items, authority to leave may not be available.
10. Missed Deliveries and Redelivery
If a delivery cannot be completed because no one is available, access is restricted, or delivery details are incorrect, additional charges may apply.
This may include:
-
redelivery fees;
-
storage fees;
-
return-to-sender fees;
-
waiting time charges;
-
handling fees.
Customers are responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the delivery where required.
11. Delivery Inspection
Please inspect your order as soon as possible after delivery.
If the goods are damaged, incorrect, or incomplete, please contact Rivergum Range as soon as possible.
Please provide:
-
your order number;
-
photos of the product;
-
photos of any damaged packaging;
-
a description of the issue;
-
delivery details.
Please keep all packaging until the issue has been reviewed, as this may be required for freight or warranty assessment.
12. Damaged in Transit
If an item is damaged in transit, Rivergum Range will review the issue and work with you to provide an appropriate solution in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Depending on the situation, this may include:
-
repair;
-
replacement;
-
replacement parts;
-
refund;
-
freight claim assessment;
-
another suitable remedy.
Damage must be reported as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
13. Collection
Where collection is available, customers may be able to collect orders from a Rivergum Range nominated location.
Collection must be arranged in advance.
Customers collecting goods are responsible for:
-
bringing a suitable vehicle;
-
safely securing the load;
-
checking the goods before leaving;
-
complying with road safety requirements;
-
providing assistance to load bulky items where required.
Risk in the goods may pass to the customer once the goods are collected.
14. Split Deliveries
Some orders may be delivered in multiple shipments.
This may occur where:
-
products are coming from different suppliers;
-
some items are in stock and others are made to order;
-
freight requirements differ;
-
part of the order is ready earlier;
-
items are too large to ship together.
Rivergum Range will advise where practical if an order is being split.
15. Regional and Remote Areas
Deliveries to regional or remote areas may take longer and may attract additional freight charges.
In some cases, delivery may only be available to the nearest freight depot or commercial address.
If direct delivery is not available to your location, Rivergum Range will contact you to discuss available options.
16. PO Boxes and Parcel Lockers
Due to the size and nature of many Rivergum Range products, we generally cannot deliver to PO Boxes, parcel lockers, or small mail collection points.
A physical street address is usually required.
17. International Shipping
Rivergum Range primarily ships within Australia.
International shipping is not generally available through the website unless confirmed by Rivergum Range in writing.
International freight, customs duties, taxes, import fees, insurance, and delivery requirements are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed.
18. Title and Risk
Ownership of goods passes to the customer once payment has been received in full.
Risk in the goods passes to the customer once the goods are delivered, collected, or handed to the freight carrier, except where required otherwise by law.
19. Delivery Delays Outside Our Control
Rivergum Range is not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including:
-
freight carrier delays;
-

fire, flood, storm, or natural disaster;
-
road closures;
-
import or customs delays;
-
public holidays;
-
government restrictions;
-
incorrect customer information;
-
inaccessible delivery sites.
We will make reasonable efforts to assist where delays occur.
