Our Team

At Rivergum range (ABN-37 071 465 913)  we don’t just make furniture—we bring ideas to life. Proudly Australian made, our range includes both standard and fully custom-built pieces for commercial offices, universities, and TAFEs and schools across the country.

From ergonomic office solutions to vibrant breakout spaces, we specialise in creating furniture that fits your environment, your needs, and your vision. Whether it’s a one-off design or a full-scale fit-out, our team works closely with clients to craft functional, durable, and beautifully finished products—on time and on budget.

We’re known for our custom upholstery, unique product flexibility, and our ability to build just about anything—from Indigenous-inspired designs that celebrate culture and storytelling, to booths, workstations, ottomans, and collaborative seating that turns spaces into experiences.

If you can dream it, we can build it. That’s the Rivergum range way.

With a background in Exercise Science, Andrew transitioned into the commercial furniture industry in 2008, joining a family-run business alongside his father, brother, and uncle. Starting with just four employees, the company quickly expanded into the commercial, school, and upholstery sectors, experiencing rapid growth. From 2010 to 2021, the business grew from a small team of four to over 40 staff before Andrew decided to take the next step and establish his own company.

While Andrew is involved in other ventures with a business partner, Rivergum Range is solely his own and operates independently. Inspired by his father—who founded Office Furniture Group in 1992 and Schoolfurn in 2009—Andrew attributes much of his success to the work ethic and dedication instilled by his mentor. He recalls his father working tirelessly, often staying up until the early hours of the morning to complete paperwork after a full day of work, family time, and sports.

At Rivergum Range, the focus is on custom-made, Australian-crafted Indigenous and non-Indigenous furniture. The company is powered by a talented team of four skilled upholsterers, led by Cameron, an extraordinary Indigenous craftsman, artist, and one of the finest upholsterers Andrew has ever worked with. Alongside Production Manager Gael and David, the team brings Andrew's vision to life, ensuring every piece reflects quality, craftsmanship, and cultural appreciation.

Rivergum Range is committed to delivering exceptional, locally made products that celebrate both traditional and contemporary design.

Cameron Dueshe is a proud Indigenous Australian and one of the country’s most talented upholsterers. At just 29, he leads the charge as Rivergum’s Head Upholsterer, handcrafting custom furniture that’s as bold and unique as he is. Known for his precision, creativity, and dedication to quality, Cam’s work can be found in schools, offices, and commercial spaces across Australia.

But furniture is just one part of his story. Cameron is also a qualified mechanic and a costume fabricator for major Hollywood blockbusters—including Thor and other iconic films. His versatility, work ethic, and creative mind set him apart in every industry he touches.

Outside of work, Cam’s all about footy (a die-hard Collingwood Magpies fan), gaming, artwork, fitness, and cars. Whether he's on the tools or off the clock, Cameron brings passion, pride, and personality to everything he does.

Gael Calvez is the driving force behind the scenes at Rivergum. As our Production Manager, Gael plays a vital role in bringing our custom-made furniture to life—managing timelines, refining details, and ensuring every piece meets the high standards our clients expect. With a sharp eye and a steady hand, he helps transform creative ideas into beautifully built, functional products.

Gael is a qualified builder and mechanic, which gives him a rare blend of practical knowledge and technical expertise. Whether it's a large-scale school fit-out or a one-off custom booth, Gael’s background means nothing is ever too complex or out of reach.

Outside of work, Gael’s a proud family man who loves spending time with his young family. He’s a passionate North Melbourne supporter, a keen golfer, a solid darts player, and an absolute strategist when it comes to chess—known around here for thinking three moves ahead (at least).

Dedicated, dependable, and endlessly capable, Gael helps shape the heart of Rivergum’s production, ensuring every piece that leaves our workshop is crafted to last.
